Redecorating our space

So we decided to repaint and re-carpet our front room and hallway.  On Pinterest I saw some "end of hallway" displays with pictures and other items on there, and, I knew I wanted a "You are my Sunshine" decoration.  My grandpa used to sing it to me every day and I sang it to my first born all the time.  So rather than pay over $30 on Etsy for one I made my own!  I love it even more and it fits very nicely at the end  of my hallway.  I found a shaped mirror at the DI for .cents and painted it yellow and spray painted a "R" from Hobby Lobby black, as well as all my frames.   It's such a nice clean look and I love, love, love it!!

Fall Crafting is in full swing!

Made this wreath with some leftover fabric from last years wreath.  I love the colors together.

I have quite the extensive wood pile and this was from an old 2x4 we had.  I think I'll make another one for my front room window. :)

Breast Cancer Awareness

I made and donated this wreath to a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser.  I wasn't able to stay so I'm not sure how it did, but they asked me to make another. :)

Patriotic Wreaths

Last summer I had made quite a few Patriotic wreaths

This summer I had the red and white striped material leftover but not enough of the blue star.  I found some material at Joann's that worked.

Love these wreaths.  The newest one I ended up selling because I have enough :)

Indoor Firework Display

I saw somewhere fireworks made out of wooden dowels.  So I told my DH I was going to Lowe's to buy some.  He pulled old closet rods out of our spare bedroom and said "just cut these up".  Worked like a charm.  Of course I don't recommend doing it that way if you are using the closets. :)

Outdoor 4th of July Firework Display

So my wonderfully nice neighbor brings us firewood for our firepit all summer long.  The other day he brought us some 4x4 pieces.  I looked at them and thought they looked way to patriotic to burn.  SO...I created a cute outdoor firework display.
